BEAM is proud to announce our participation as a rookie team in the international FIRST Robotics Competition! With the generous help of our sponsors: Praxair, NASA, WNY STEM, Wegmans, & Nichols School, students are tirelessly working every weekend to construct, program, assemble, and operate the BEAM MACHINE in time for next month's competition. Mentors make it work
If it weren't for our generous, brilliant mentors, BEAM would not be where we are today. They sacrifice their evenings, weekends, and vacations. When asked why they do it, they say it's no sacrifice and that "giving back" is more of what the world needs. They hail from Praxair, Moog, DiDinato, the University at Buffalo, and many engineering, architecture, academic, and other firms.
Teaching students from all over Western New York
BEAM serves children all over the Western New York area. We ensure that our students cover the 3 E's: Explore, Educate, Engage.
Robotics in and out of the classroom
BEAM students get to build robots in a real-life workshop. They learn to use tools, work in teams, meet strict specifications, and test their prototypes.
