Summer ProgramS

 

All summer programs are subject to time/location adjustments. Please check back weekly for changes.

Summer Application Deadline to register is June 26th. You will be notified via email of program acceptance before July 1st.

*Although there is a minimal cost for students based on household income, BEAM offers scholarships to offset or cover the cost for eligible students.

 


Students Entering 7th & 8th Grades


This summer program is for students entering 7th & 8th grades. It will take place July 5th - July 28th, Monday - Friday from 9am to 2pm on the Buffalo State College Campus.  Our 7th & 8th graders will participate in a host of engineering activities, ultimately sparking their interests and helping them narrow down their choices. Program fees are based on household income and will not exceed $150. 


Students Entering 9th & 10th Grades


Students entering 9th & 10th grades will take classes on the Buffalo State College Campus.

It will take place July 5th - July 28th, Monday - Friday from 9am to 2pm, with Friday field trips to local engineering/STEM-based locations sure to get students excited about science, engineering, technology, and math! Our 9th & 10th graders will participate in a host of engineering activities in science, computer technology, and communications. Students will ultimately work toward larger projects that culminate in a final presentation activity for their parents and families. Program fees are based on household income and will not exceed $150. 


Students Entering 11th Grade


Our students entering 11th grade will spend their summer from July 5th - July 28th, Monday - Friday from 9am to 2pm at the University at Buffalo North Campus.

They will on work hands-on engineering activities that will culminate in a final project that is sure to bulk up their resume`. From working with legitimate engineers, tech advisors, current college engineering students, and educators, our future seniors network with the best in the business. We partner with firms such as Du Pont, Moog, Praxair, and Cannon Design, to name only a few. We feel that it's never too early to "gear" our students toward greatness -pun intended. Program fees are based on household income and will not exceed $150. 


Students Entering 12th Grade


Our students entering 11th grade will spend their summer from July 5th - July 28th, Monday - Friday from 9am to 2pm at the University at Buffalo North Campus.

Girls' Summer Saturday Program


The BEAM All-Girls Summer Saturday Academy is for female students entering grades 9-12.

They will spend their summer Saturdays from July 8th - August 26th, 10am to 2:30pm at the University at Buffalo North Campus. working on engineering activities that will culminate in a final project that is sure to bulk up their resume`.

From working with legitimate engineers, tech advisors, PhDs, researchers, current college engineering students, and educators, female students network with the best in the business. We partner with firms such as Du Pont, Moog, Praxair, and Cannon Design, to name only a few. We feel that it's never too early to "gear" our students toward greatness -pun intended. Program fees are based on household income and will not exceed $150.
